The Audio Space Pre-2 is a great sounding remote controlled tube preamp with a quality MM/MC phono stage.

Its flexible impedance matching phono stage is able to automatically match from 4 ohm to 68K ohm phono cartridge impedance's. The phono stage supports both MC and MM.

The pre-amp also has a record output for a headphone amp or 2nd zone operation. The volume knob on the right is also remote controllable through a motorized 100K Alps Blue Velvet potentiometer. Connections include the IEC power inlet, four sets of RCA inputs, a grounding post and two sets of RCA outputs, one Pre-Out and one Rec-Out.

Audiophile-grade components include Audio Space's own proprietary low-heat, low-electromagnetic choke coil, Multicap coupling caps and Elna electrolytic caps. The Pre-2 uses two 6SL7 tubes and two 6SN7 tubes instead of the typical 12ax7/12au7 combo of many other designs. These tubes have larger screen grids and a greater ability in micro-harmonic reconstruction as well as improved textural body and more potent drive that benefits the phono stage as well.

The Pre-2 is extremely transparent and offers excellent detail & dynamics, a wide soundstage with depth, and very good image specificity.
